The Flying Rangers is a flying club based at KSGU with the purpose of making safe, modern, and affordable aircraft available to its members. We also foster aviation safety by creating a community of pilots to learn from one another.
We currently have one 2026 Vashon Ranger R7. The Ranger has many wonderful features -
Dynon Skyview panel
Two-axis autopilot
105 knot TAS cruise
5+ hours of endurance
Continental O-200D engine
As the club grows we will lease additional Rangers to meet demand.
The Flying Rangers sits between renting a flight school plane and buying your own aircraft. With the club, you'll have access to a new airplane that you can take on overnight trips but with the only fixed cost being your annual dues.
Since the club's aircraft are only available to club members they are more available and not being used for primary flight training.
The Flying Rangers is a non-equity club which means that it leases its aircraft. By leasing an aircraft instead of buying one, there is no expensive buy-in for members.Â
As a member, you pay annual dues which cover fixed costs like insurance, annual inspection, and tie-down fees plus an hourly rate for use of the aircraft.
